PopticsTwo is an original typeface, not copied or scanned from another source. It contains two all caps alphabets, numbers, basic symbols ($,&, etc.), punctuation, and 52 dingbats. The letters are great for posters and flyers and make excellent drop caps. The dingbat collection is eclectic: snails, dinosaurs, kings, trashcans, and much more. There are over 500 kerned pairs.
Finding the characters:
•The alphabets:
One set of letters is in the lowercase position (no modifier key); the other is in the uppercase position (shift key).
•The numbers:
Numbers to match the “lower case” letters are in the regular place. For numbers to match the “upper case” letters, press Shift-Option plus the number.
•Dingbats:
The dingbats are found by pressing Option and Shift-Option plus a letter. The shift-option character is usually a reverse of the option character, either in color or direction.
•Punctuation & symbols:
The following punctuation is designed to go with either alphabet, and can be found in the normal places: The period, comma, colon, semi-colon, ellipses, quotes (typewriter and “curly” styles), asterisk, bullet, hyphen, dashes (en & em), slash, back-slash, exclamation point and question mark.
Alternate exclamation points can be found at Shift-Comma and Option-1; alternate question marks at Shift-Period and Shift-Option-Slash These match the two letter styles.
Parenthesis & brackets to match the “lower case” letters are in the regular places. Parenthesis to match the “upper case” letters are at Option-9 and Option-0; press Shift plus a bracket key for brackets.
Alternate bullets are at Shift-2 & Option-2.
The number, dollar, percent, and ampersand signs to match the “lower case” letters are in the regular places. For the second set, press Option plus the appropriate number.
The cents signs are at Shift-6 & Option-6.
•I think that’s everything, but just in case you care...
The figures at Option-H & Shift-Option H are matryoshka, or Russian nesting dolls. Print a row of them in decreasing sizes.
The figure at Option-M & Shift-Option M is Kokopelli the flute player, from Anasazi mythology. He had to do with the fertility of the earth.
